Paige Angeles is an Assistant Golf Professional at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, CA. Paige started working as a private instructor four years ago. She has also taught countless hours of clinics and group lessons. She is currently working towards her Class A, PGA certification.
"MY GOAL IS TO GIVE MY STUDENTS THE TOOLS THEY NEED TO DEVELOP THEIR GOLF SKILLS AND HELP THEM REACH THEIR POTENTIAL."
With a goal based approach to her instruction, and 15 years of competitive golf under her belt, Paige brings a unique outlook to the lesson tee. Working mostly with beginner and intermediate players, she has gained a great understanding for different ways people approach the game. Whether you are just starting your golf journey, or want to get your game in shape for your next club championship, Paige will help you assess and prioritize your golf goals.
After becoming a professional in December 2018, Paige began teaching private and group lessons at San Ramon Golf Club in San Ramon, CA. She quickly gained recognition at the course with private lessons given to adults of all ages, genders, and handicaps. Her junior group lessons were also a hit with elementary aged children in the local area. Past experience teaching with the First Tee Tri-Valley and becoming a U.S. Kid’s Golf Certified Coach helped propel her junior program to include about 30 students.
Paige soon moved to the Presidio Golf Course in San Francisco, CA, and started working as an Assistant Golf Professional. She continued to teach private lessons and programs such as Get Golf Ready, PGA Hope, and a junior girl’s program. While there, she was able to work with Dede Braun-Moriarty, a three time Top Teacher in California and three time Top 50 Female instructor. She also worked with 2009 Northern California PGA Teacher of the Year, Dan Schwabe.
Now at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, CA, Paige has continued to grow the game. Teaching around 10 hours per week, Paige stays busy on the lesson tee. Many of her students come with very little golf experience, but leave with the skills they need to get around the course. Her students range in skill level from very beginner, to intermediate. Paige has become increasingly involved with the women of LMGC, putting on a Beginner Women’s Clinic and a clinic for the Lake Merced Women Golfers group.
Paige has played competitively since the age of 8. Starting golf at a young age, she quickly gained a love for the sport and started playing in tournaments. This journey took her to the California State Championships in high school and gained her a spot on the Women’s Golf Team at the University of Redlands in Southern California.
Since turning professional and returning to competition, Paige has had five top 5 finishes in NCPGA events, including two third place finishes in 2022.
